Department Profile

The Town of Brookfield is located in the United States, State of Wisconsin Waukesha County.  The Town shares borders with the City of Brookfield, City of Waukesha, City of Pewaukee, City of New Berlin, Town of Waukesha, Village of Menomonee Falls, and Town of Lisbon.

With a balance of commercial, industrial, and a residential population, the Town of Brookfield is a community of approximately 6,420 residents and a daytime population that swells to approximately 40,000.

The Town of Brookfield Police Department consists of 18 sworn police personnel, one full time civilian police clerk, and one part time civilian police clerk.  The TBPD provides police services 24-hours a day, 365-days per year.  The TBPD employs full time and part time police officers.  The department employs a Police Chief, Captain, Sergeant-Detective, and a Patrol Sergeant.

The TBPD has certified trained officers with specialties in firearms, Defensive and Arrest Tactics (DAAT), and vehicle contacts.  The department also has five Field Training Officers (FTO's)

The members of the department take pride in the fact that they are always open to the public's concerns and are willing to make the extra effort to create a comfortable and secure community.

There are a number of services provided by the TBPD to aid the citizens in safeguarding their lives and property.  Citizen participation is on the of the most effective tools in the fight against crime.
