Open Records Requests:

Requests may be made in writing to the Town Clerk by mail or email at clerk@townofbrookfield.com. The request must be specific in regard to the item(s) you are seeking. The request will then be forwarded to the corresponding custodian of the record.  The response time will vary depending on the type and volume of documents requested.

These are requests for records not related to the Town of Brookfield Police Department. To request records that belong to the Police Department please see below.

Police Records:

Requests may be made in writing to the Police Clerk by mail or email at akubiak@townofbrookfield.com.

Open Records Request Forms:

Copies of police reports and accident reports can be obtained during normal business hours at the Town of Brookfield Police Department. There is a charge of $5.25 for a copy of a crash report and $0.25 per page for an incident or arrest report.

Photographs are $0.53 per printed photo and $5.25 for a compact disc. Other fees may apply.

Both incident reports and accident reports can take up to 10 working days to be available for copy but generally are completed within three working days. If the incident or accident is still under investigation it may take longer. Incidents involving juveniles or referrals to the district attorney’s office may be redacted or denied.
