Public Works Position

The Department of Public Works is accepting applications for the position of a General Laborer.  Successful candidate will perform a variety of skilled, technical, and administrative tasks pertaining to the operations, maintenance, repair of town infrastructure.

Applicant must possess a valid Wisconsin driver’s license and Commercial Drivers License.

Requirements:
-at least 18 years of age
-valid Wisconsin drivers license
-CDL
-ability to lift 50 pounds
-experience and training beyond high school in general grounds maintenance or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, abilities, and skills.

Sanitary District #4 Position

Certified Operator

Town of Brookfield – Sanitary District #4 is accepting applications for the position of a Certified Operator.  Successful candidate will perform a variety of skilled, technical, and administrative tasks pertaining to the operations, maintenance, repair, and replacement of the water and wastewater collection system.  This includes an understanding of electrical and plumbing systems, knowledge of safety issues and procedures, and the ability to read and understand utility maps and codes.  

Applicant must possess a valid Wisconsin driver’s license and will be on-call on a rotating basis including weekends and holidays.  Wisconsin DNR Water Operator’s Certification for Groundwater, Distribution, and Iron Removal is required within a year of hire. Firefighter/EMT-Paramedic
Firefighter/EMT-Basic

The Town of Brookfield Fire Department accepts applications for the position of Firefighter/EMT on a year-round basis. Completed applications that are submitted to the Department will be kept on file and reviewed when it is determined that additional hiring is necessary.

Applications can be obtained at the Town of Brookfield Fire Department located 645 N. Janacek Rd., Brookfield, WI 53045 or online here. Applications may be picked-up at the station Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Minimum eligibility requirements for the position include a State of Wisconsin Firefighter 1 Certificate, a current State of Wisconsin Emergency Medical Technician - Basic License (EMT- Paramedic preferred), valid driver license and a Certificate of Completion of the Candidate Physical Ability Test (CPAT*). All candidates must provide copies of the above qualifications as well as copies requested in the application when submitting their completed packets.

Eligible applicants will be informed of the Department's hiring schedule as it becomes available.

* Certificate of Completion of the Candidate Physical Ability Test (CPAT) must accompany any application. If an applicant does not possess a current CPAT, the application may still be submitted and final hiring will be contingent on providing a certificate at the time of hire.

** Physical Medical Certificate does not need to accompany application.  It will be required prior to hire date.
